Why not treat yourself to a whole day (10 - 4) needle - felted, small figure workshop, with me at my home studio based in North Northumberland, close to Wooler and Lowick.
I will guide you at each of the various stages required to make you own needle felted figure. This will Include all ‘clothing’ and accessories to enable your creation to properly ‘come to life’.
Please note we shall also include some basic hand - sewing in this workshop, so please be sure you are comfortable using a needle and thread. The result will be the most incredibly special ‘one-off’ little creation of your own.
The effort that goes in to making these little figures - especially if it’s for a gift - will always be appreciated, and you might even find you don’t want them to ‘leave’ your home once you’ve made it. They can honestly be so special !
The therapeutic effects of doing something creative and becoming totally absorbed and focussed for a few enjoyable hours, are hugely positive and well-known. Most importantly, you’ll be having a day for yourself to try something that you might really like.
By the end of the session you will have completed a really lovely piece to take home.
My workshops are fun too ! They are very relaxed and it really doesn’t matter what ability you may or may not have - everyone is welcome.
But you need to understand that I do live on a working farm, so you might see tractors, animals and mud !! I also have two cats, Pepper and Titch - who will almost certainly stay out of the way !
And I’ll provide all of the materials and light refreshments of hot/cold drinks and some biscuits throughout the day. If you could bring a packed lunch that would be great !
