WORKSHOP - Pop-up Cards and 2D Banners. Sunday 31 August 10 - 1 and Sunday 28 September 10-1
Why not treat yourself to a half day (10 - 1) ‘card’ making workshop, with me at my home studio based in North Northumberland, close to Wooler and Lowick.
I will show you a number of techniques to try, including collage and some basic watercolour effects and how you can apply these to make the most incredibly special one-off cards and banners.
The effort that goes in to making homemade cards and gifts is always appreciated and you might even find you don’t want them to ‘leave’ your home once you’ve made them. They can honestly be so special !
The therapeutic effects of doing something creative and becoming totally absorbed and focussed for a few enjoyable hours, are hugely positive and well-known. Most importantly, you’ll be having a few hours for yourself to try something that you might really like.
By the end of the session you will have completed a really lovely piece to take home.
My workshops are fun too ! They are very relaxed and it really doesn’t matter what ability you may or may not have - everyone is welcome.
But you need to understand that you will be welcomed by the ‘welcoming committee’ ! Noodle, my 12-year old retriever and possibly Pepper and Titch - my two cats. They’re actually more likely to stay out of the way, but Noodle will almost certainly want to be there checking on our progress !
And I do live on a working farm, so you might see tractors, animals and mud !!
I’ll provide all of the materials and light refreshments of hot/cold drinks and some biscuits. All you have to do is turn up !
😁
