Needle Felted Hare Sculpture
I hope you are all well and have had a lovely Festive break. I realise I’m a bit late back from all of that but thankfully after 2.5 years I got to see my daughter, her fiancé and my now 17 month old granddaughter Ellie, whom I’d never met until Boxing Day when I collected them from the airport after a long flight (yes they flew on Christmas Day) from Sydney.
It’s been such a wonderful and lovely time which was tinged with sadness, knowing that they would soon be on their way to visit the many other family members across the UK, before they head back to Sydney.
I have 4 wonderful grandchildren x3 in Edinburgh, Ava, Ernie and Florence and little Ellie from Sydney. I feel very lucky
2022 has got some amazing things / events in the pipeline and I’m hoping that I will soon be able to share these - just finalising details and then all will be revealed !
In the meantime, although I haven’t done much in the way of painting () I have been busy doing some of my craft-type projects. Here is my most recent.
A 30cm needle felted Hare ! I do hope you like him ?! I’m going to make him a couple of Hare-sized accessories - almost certainly knitted ones . I have a list of other animals that I definitely am going to make, but if you have any suggestions please let me know and I’ll add them to my list ! Will also be offering workshops on how to make these over this year.
I wonder if anyone can guess what else I’ve been doing ?
Knitting hats of course ! Photos after ones of the Hare.
Hopefully that’s me back up and working now - I haven’t yet been struck down by any awful illness, which I know that unfortunately many of you have Do take some time to look after yourselves lovely people.
Take care,
Sam
